South Staffordshire College and Redrow Homes celebrate Apprenticeship partnership success

South Staffordshire College and Redrow Homes have celebrated the success of 15 hardworking Redrow employees who have successfully completed an apprenticeship programme delivered by the College.

Along with Redrow Homes New Entrants Programme Manager Clare Horton, the employees, who have all completed a Level 3 apprenticeship in construction and the built environment for assistant site managers, were invited to celebrate their achievements at a lunch event at the College’s 18th Century Rodbaston Hall.

The first of Redrow’s employee cohorts to complete this two year qualification, delivered in partnership with NHBC, were greeted by the College’s Head of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement John Renshaw, who gave them a guided tour of the 180 hectare campus and new AgriSTEM Academy, which is home to cutting edge facilities for those studying for qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Motorsport and many more.

The apprentices then formally received their awards from College Principal Graham Morley, who told them: “We’re extremely pleased to have played a part in your journey; you should all be extremely proud of your achievements.”

John Renshaw added: “We’re privileged to work alongside Redrow Homes, they are a fantastic employer and a valued customer of South Staffordshire College. It’s a pleasure to work with them to help their staff develop and celebrating the achievements of these employees is one of our proudest moments. Having set the standard for this qualification, there are a further two groups of Redrow employees who are following in the footsteps of their colleagues and are also now working towards completing this qualification too.”
