Six parks and green spaces in Cannock Chase are officially recognised as some of the country’s best parks
Cannock Chase Council is celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for Cannock Park, Ravenhill Park, Elmore Park, Hednesford Park, Stile Cop Cemetery and Castle Ring.

Castle Ring Green Heritage Site has also retained the Green Heritage Site Accreditation, supported by Historic England, for the management of its historic features.
Councillor John Preece, Portfolio Leader for Parks, Culture and Heritage said:
The Council can be rightly proud that these parks and green spaces have retained their green flag. We are extremely lucky to have these in our District. Thanks to Council officers and volunteers for their efforts in retaining high quality green spaces that are essential for the community to enjoy and for their health and wellbeing.
