OUR MISSION: is to drive the economic growth of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, creating jobs and creating the conditions for growth.
Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP (SSLEP) is 10 years old – a unique partnership between business, public, private and education sectors, and industry partners. A partnership that makes more of an impact on jobs and the economy than the sum of it’s parts.
Looking back of the last year, it’s clear just how much has been achieved when we work work together, including:
- 0ur Growth Hub supporting 18,000 businesses through the pandemic and 5,000 businesses through new EU trading arrangements
- how we created the first service in the country to support businesses needing to support their staff into growth sector jobs
- how secure millions of pounds of government funding to create jobs, support business and create the right conditions for growth.
It’s been a tough year but at SSLEP we’re pleased with our quick response to Covid-19, setting up support structures and supporting businesses when they need it most.
