Showcasing business growth opportunities with St Modwen

Businesses are invited to find out about the latest opportunities for new industrial and commercial developments in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire at a special event on May 2.

The Make It Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Investment Service is holding a commercial property event, sponsored by St Modwen, at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, to showcase the latest opportunities.

Delegates will hear about the success of St. Modwen Park Burton – formerly Burton Gateway – a fantastic new development of high-quality industrial and logistics units located adjacent to the A38 in Burton-upon-Trent. The next phase of the scheme’s development will provide further space and create even more employment opportunities for the area. The agenda will also provide details on other future key developments.

Reflecting the success of Burton Gateway, the event will be held at another nearby newly built facility – the Aspect Building at the National Memorial Arboretum.

The event will provide an opportunity to meet commercial property agents, developers, professional service providers and businesses, be brought up to speed with plans for the larger 175-acre mixed-use scheme, which includes residential development, and to hear more about future growth and investment plans across the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire area.

Speakers include Ian Romano, Head of Commercial – Midlands and North, and Rob Richardson, Senior Development Manager, from St Modwen, and Alun Rogers, vice chair of Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership.

Alun Rogers commented: “Our prime location at the centre of the country makes Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire a great place to live, work, invest and do business.

“Our people are also a key strength and an enormous asset in any place-based decision making. We are fortunate to have a top performing, highly skilled and talented workforce with a motivated, can-do attitude.

“These latest impressive developments by St Modwen are a great illustration of the strengths of this area and we look forward to welcoming the business community to the commercial property event to find out more about all the exceptional opportunities our region has to offer.”

Ian Romano added: “We have been working with Make It Stoke & Staffs for a number of years now and have developed a close working relationship, built on a mutual desire to create opportunities for investment, business and employment in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Together we have brought forward a number of key sites and we remain committed to the region, with a number of projects already underway and many more in the pipeline.”
