Brexit advice for businesses: free webinar 11th April
With the prospect of a no-deal EU Exit remaining a possibility the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has joined up with HMRC to offer a free webinar to help small and medium businesses be better prepared in the event of the UK leaving the European Union without a deal.
Officials from HMRC and the BEIS goods team will cover the planned changes for both customs and broader border issues.
By taking part in this webinar, which runs from 11am until noon on Thursday 11th April, businesses will learn about:
- Import and Export Processes, including transit & easements such as Transitional Simplified Procedures (TSP allows companies to transport goods into the UK without making a full customs declaration)
- VAT policy
- ‘New Approach’ Goods Regulations, including obligations on importers and distributors, and the use of the CE and UK Conformity Assessment marking in a ‘no deal’ scenario
- Crucial steps businesses can take to prepare for a potential no deal Brexit and where to find the additional sources of information you may need
This webinar will include an opportunity for you to ask the questions you have directly to UK Government officials.
